Starting a Pilates class
Clients who are new to Pilates are encouraged to have an initial consultation and 1:1 assessment prior to starting the classes. This will include an assessment of your posture, and spinal and joint mobility. You will also need to complete a health questionnaire and registration form.
I will teach you the key elements of Pilates, and ensure you know how to set your body in neutral alignment and activate your core stabilising muscles. This will allow you to achieve the most out of the Pilates exercises and identify any problem areas to work on.
There is a maximum of 12 students in each hall Pilates class, so I can easily supervise each individual and ensure that they are exercising safely. I provide all the small equipment (Pilates balls and magic circle etc.). If you are attending a matwork class then you will need to bring your own mat and head support. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
Pilates classes timetable
The Pilates classes run term time only for a block of 6-8 sessions per term. This allows each class to be tailored to meet your specific needs and be progressed at an appropriate level for all class members. Each class will be different to keep it new and challenging. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.
